. IAEA chief Mohamed El Baradei said part
of industrial equipment sent from Iraq and abroad '
been located in other countries, but not materials that have high precision
dual-use commercial and military aircraft.
''The disappearance of such equipment can 'have a meaning for
proliferation, therefore, any State which has information on
and' please provide the IAEA,''reads the letter

Westinghouse won a contract worth 100 million
Westinghouse Wins $ 100 Million Contract Westinghouse Electric Company Diablo Canyon on 7th October Confirmed That It Has Won a contract valued in excess of 100 million U.S. dollars (USD) for eight replacement steam generators at operator Pacific Gas & Electric's (PG&E's) Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant, in the US state of California. Under the terms of the contract, Westinghouse will supply a technically advanced version of its model 54F steam generator, which will be manufactured by Spain’s Equipos Nucleares (ENSA) – at the company’s plant in MaliaƱo near Santander, Spain. The contract extends through September 2008. Nick Liparulo, vice president, Westinghouse Engineering Services, said: "PG&E has made a significant and well-thought-out investment at the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant that serves to ensure that they will continue to economically produce safe, clean and reliable electric energy for the next several decades.” Diablo Canyon is located in San Luis Obispo County – and, since its two 1,087-megawatt pressurised water reactor (PWR) units first began providing power to the grid in 1984 and 1985, the plant has been providing electricity to more than 2 million northern and central Californians. ENSA announced last month that it had been awarded the manufacturing contract by Westinghouse [see News in Brief No. 32, 21st September 2004]. The first set of steam generators will be delivered in autumn 2007 followed by the second set in the autumn of 2008.
