In fact,''the environmental groups expressing concern at the continuing and growing proliferation in the region, requests permission for wind farms, some already 'in advanced design stage, in many areas of high environmental value and landscape as well as' of considerable strategic importance for the birds, which would be irretrievably destroyed by the collision with the spinning blades.''
